Combined with the industry's best processor, a PowerPC® from Freescale™, these models incorporate a world-class architecture that ensures compatibility with market-leading wireless infrastructures, boosts throughput and reduces latency to the lowest levels possible. This allows a broader range of serial devices to communicate over a wireless Ethernet network without modifying host software designed to use COM ports.
- Network-enable RS-232 and RS-232/422/485 serial devices for wireless access and control
- Supports 64-bit and 128-bit WEP and WPA (TKIP/MIC) privacy protocols
- Embedded 802.11b/g wireless radio featuring Conexant® Prism™ 3 Chipset
- High-gain, 2.2 dBi omni-directional antenna included; third-party antennas can be used for even higher gain
- Excellent sensitivity and dynamically shifting 11, 5.5, 2, 1 and 54 Mbps speeds
- Remote Web browser-based configuration, administration and troubleshooting
- Serial Tunneling mode for connecting two serial devices over a wireless network without a PC
- Surge suppression package available for serial port
- "5V" models provide standard surge suppression and 5V power at pin 9 of the serial port
- Virtual COM drivers for Windows® NT4/2000/XP/7 & Linux®, socket modes support other O/S
- Raw TCP, Raw UDP, UDP Multicast and IntelliSock™ TCP socket services for custom applications
- Configure as TCP Server, TCP Client, or as both using the Quatech-exclusive AutoTCP feature
